From Penangites to Penangites
Together with Penang Paragon Lions Club, we’re rallying donors to collect 80 packs of blood to help refill the Hospital Pulau Pinang (HPP) Blood Bank for patients in Penang.

Afternoon Health Talk with Dr. Donald Ang
Time: 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm
Join Dr. Donald Ang, Consultant Cardiologist at Northern Heart Hospital Penang, for a practical heart-health session focused on prevention and early detection.
You’ll take away:
- Simple checklists for heart wellness
- Early warning signs to watch out for
- Clear next steps if something feels off
Open to all donors, family, and friends.
CPR Workshop
9:00am – 4:00pm
Swing by the Red Crescent booth for a quick CPR showcase. Simple, practical steps you can pick up while waiting for your turn to donate. Open to all attendees throughout the day.

Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (Lunch break: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm)
Venue: Northern Heart Hospital Penang, Level 1
Who Can Donate Blood
- Ages 18 – 60
- Weight 45 kg or more
- Feeling well on the day, with enough rest
- You may be deferred based on the health check, recent procedures, travel, or medications
What to Bring
- IC/MyKad (or passport for non-Malaysian donors)
- A short list of your usual medications (if any)
- Red book if you are a regular blood donor
How to Prepare
- Eat a light meal and drink water before you come
- Avoid hard exercise right before and after donating
- Wear sleeves that roll above the elbow
- If you are unwell, recently had a procedure, or are on certain medicines, speak to the screening team
Things to Note
- Final eligibility is decided on the day by the HPP Blood Bank medical team
- Set aside 45–60 minutes for screening, donation, and a short rest
- Join the Afternoon Health Talk with Dr. Donald (2:00 pm – 2:45 pm). Open to donors, family, and friends
- Collect your goodie bag after donating
