- Consent and control over treatment decisions, being informed about risks, benefits, and available alternatives.
- Privacy during medical treatment and confidentiality of all communications and records pertaining to your care and health status.
- Seek second opinions from different healthcare providers.
- Expect safety in the hospital setting, including the right to be free from all forms of abuse or harassment.
- Concise advice and guidance on promotive, preventive, and curative medicine, as well as relevant rehabilitation.
- Expect that the continuity of care will be maintained and be informed by your healthcare team about any potential changes.
- Be involved in care decisions, including the right to refuse treatment.
- Grievance Redressal: Voice complaints and have those complaints reviewed and, when possible, resolved.

- Understand, adhere to, and follow the healthcare team’s advice on prescribed care plans and treatment regimens.
- Acknowledge and accept consequences of your decisions, including any outcomes resulting from refusal or non-adherence to recommended care plans and treatment regimens, whether these decisions are made personally or by appointed representatives.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Treat other patients, visitors, and staff with respect and uphold their dignity.
- Meet financial commitments by fulfilling agreed-upon financial obligations to the hospital.
- Inform the healthcare team about any unexpected changes in your health condition.
- Respect the property of others and take good care of the facilities provided by Northern Heart Hospital.
- Inform the healthcare team about anticipated challenges in following treatments or if considering alternative traditional medicines and/or therapies.
