(Business Today) The first and only cardiac and vascular specialist hospital in Penang and the Northern Region of Peninsular Malaysia, the Northern Heart Hospital (NHH), has opened its doors to local and international patients.
As the first hospital in Malaysia dedicated solely to cardiovascular care in Penang and the Northern region of the country, NHH offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment services for cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease, which remains the leading cause of death in Malaysia.
NHH, officiated by Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, prioritises a team-based approach, uniting experts like cardiologists, surgeons and rehabilitation specialists to provide personalised and comprehensive care.
“Specialised cardiac nurses on duty will ensure consistent monitoring and support, playing a vital role in patient recovery and complication prevention.
“Advanced equipment including the first Hybrid Operating Theatre in the Northern region, cutting-edge diagnostic tools and minimally invasive technologies further enhance the treatment precision,” NHH Chief Executive Officer Kelen Leong said, adding that with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes, the hospital aims for early intervention, faster recoveries and better quality of life for patients.
She highlighted that NHH is dedicated to setting new benchmarks in cardiovascular care.
