Dr. Donald Swee Cheng Ang is a highly experienced Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based at the Northern Heart Hospital, Penang, Malaysia. He completed his medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Dundee in 2000, followed by specialist training in cardiology and interventional cardiology across prestigious institutions in the UK. He holds a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Cardiology and advanced fellowship experience in interventional cardiology from Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.
Dr. Donald Ang’s interest in percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), include in complex procedures such as bifurcation stenting, chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions, and rotational atherectomy. His skills extend to transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
With a passion for research, Dr. Donald Ang has been involved in numerous studies, including his MD research on left ventricular hypertrophy, leading to several publications in high-impact journals.
